Offensive Line
2020 Projection: Potential Starter
The new redshirt rules benefitted Craig last season. He had a small amount of experience by playing in the game at Iowa. For much of the rest of the season he was on the depth chart, but Purdue’s roster only notes him as playing at Iowa.
Craig was originally recruited as a tackle, but like most line positions under Brohm, we could see him shift around. He has the ability to emerge as one fo the five starters this season. He was a three-star prospect by all he major recruiting services and was known as a dedicated worker:
“They’re getting a dedicated kid,” coach Bob Gecewich said Monday morning. “I’ve been at Jerome all three years he’s been at the high school and he’s never missed a workout. He comes in at 6 a.m. when he’s in a different season. He’s a blue-collar kid.
“Between the end of our season and now he’s probably put on 15 to 20 good pounds of weight. It’s not sloppy. You’re talking about a kid who is 6-4, 285 and you get a picture in your head that he’s put together pretty decent.”
