The downside to a lot of offensive linemen is that they can take several years to develop before becoming high quality starter. That is the nature of the position. You just have to put in the work for a year or two to even come close to seeing the field, which is what today’s player is doing.
Kyle Jornigan - Fr. (RS)
Youngstown, OH (Cardinal Mooney HS)
6’4”, 320 pounds
Offensive Line
2020 Projection: Reserve
Jornigan does bring great size to the position and could be an excellent guard in time. He was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class by all the major recruiting services and he redshirted all of last year. Kentucky, Minnesota, Rutgers, and Pittsburgh were among those that offered him, and both Harvard and Yale showed interest.
Right now Jornigan is a player that is building for 2021 and beyond. If he can crack the two deep this fall that would be a major step forward to an even bigger career.
