Will there be enough passes to go around this coming season? Purdue has a ton of high quality receivers, and if a quarterback that can get them the ball emerges Purdue’s offense could explode. Today’s let’s look at one of those receivers.

Grant Summers- Fr. (RS)

Atlanta, GA (IMG Academy)

5’11”, 180 pounds

Wide Receiver

2020 Projection: Reserve

Getting to the field as a walk-on receiver is going to be extremely difficult. Purdue has experienced seniors in Jared Sparks and Jackson Anthrop, All-American caliber guys in Rondale Moore and David Bell, talented young guys in Abdur-Rahmaan Yasssen, Maliq Carr, TJ Sheffield, Mershawn Rice, Amad Anderson Jr., and Milton Wright.

Summers will almost certainly be a practice player this coming season after walking on in 2019. He does have high level high school experience, however, after playing at IMG Academy in Florida. In the five games listed he had 10 catches for 76 yards. Here are his highlights.

There is an immense amount of talent in front of him, but let’s give him a shot.
