The battle between PJ Fleck and Jeff Brohm just got slightly more interesting. Brohm just flipped one of Fleck’s top targets:

Jackson is listed as 3-star athlete according to Rivals and a 4-star dual threat quarterback according to 247. He hails from Naperville Central in Illinois. Here is his highlight tape:
Anytime you can get a dynamic dual-threat QB you have to get him. As you can see, he is elusive as hell and has an excellent arm when needed. He led his team to a 4-5 overall record (4-1 in conference) and he threw for over 1,700 yards and 16 touchdowns. His list of recruiting offers is basically “The Big Ten plus Notre Dame”. Here is what our friends at The Daily Gopher had to say about him.
This is a really good pickup for Purdue. He is a four-star and to flip him from Fleck is a big get. So far coach Brohm has preferred more traditional pocket passers, but the elusiveness of David Blough was a big factor in Brohm’s first two seasons. Having Jackson running around causing havoc could be a lot of fun.
