Jordan Rucker, a 3* DB in Purdue’s 2018 recruiting class, announced today that he is entering the transfer portal.
First off I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunities that he has installed within my life. The relationships I have built with my teammates is unmatchable and I wish Purdue the best. With that being said,I have entered my name into the Transfer Portal. DM for info pic.twitter.com/NYbSnxl72x

Rucker, out of Ryan High School in Denton Texas, redshirted his first season at Purdue and played sparingly in 5 games last season. Rucker is the 4th defensive back, 8th defensive player (depending on what you consider Alex Criddle it could be 7) and 12th overall player from the 2019 team to enter the portal.
Things are still a bit murky in terms of the scholarship count, but with grades going out today, if there are going to be more transfers, expect them to come in the next 24-48 hours. As of now, Purdue is either 1 over the limit, or right at the limit.
With a number of former high profile recruits hitting the transfer market in the last two days, it will be interesting to see if Purdue has the roster flexibility to go after a player like D.J. Johnson (CB Iowa) or Tahj Rice (DT Duke) who both had Purdue offers coming out of high school.
