Sup Y’all, I’ve got some good news!
We’re back to 75% confidence!
I’ll get to that in a moment, but first some national and conference polling to get out of the way.
National Coach of the Year

When your rival hires a mid-major coach, and his former mid-major program takes off after he leaves...well...you absolutely hate to see it.
My personal vote is for Leonard Hamilton, only because the man hasn’t aged a year over the last decade. Seriously y’all, Leonard is 71 years old, and there is no way Denny’s is offering the senior blue plate special without checking 2 forms of ID.
Don’t believe me?
See for yourself.

Best Team in the Big10?

There is only 1 right answer to this question, and I still can’t stress how much I hate Maryland (although it’s probably a tie with MSU for my most hated non I.U. team).
I will say, however, that this poll was taken before Maryland lost to Rutgers on Tuesday. The Terps have a home game against the Wolverines to end their regular season. A loss in that game would put them on a 3 game losing streak to end the season.
I’m not big into doing math for free, but I’m pretty sure they don’t win the Big10 if they lose to Michigan, and will most likely share the Big10 even if they win.
GO MICHIGAN...GO BIG BLUE (I had to call in Juan to type that, because my fingers wouldn't allow me to hit that series of keys).
Purdue Confidence Poll

I’ve maintained throughout the season that 75% should be considered bed rock for Matt Painter this season. The Boilermakers have dipped below that threshold a few times this season, but if I had to guess, they’ll end the season either at or significantly above 75%, depending on how the next few games go.
My question to you, the voting public, is if you take recruiting into consideration when you vote on this poll?
Does Painter landing a stud like Furst make you more apt to give him the benefit of the doubt going forward, or are we only looking at recent results to gauge the overall direction of the basketball program?
If Purdue doesn’t make the tournament, but lands one of the recent 5* players it has hosted where would that put you in terms of confidence?
Inquiring minds want to know.
