Head Coach: Scott Frost

Nebraska Offense: The Nebraska offense leaves a lot to be desired. But our Purdue Boilermakers have made some bad offenses look pretty good, please see last week.

The two Nebraska Quarterbacks have combined for 2 touchdown passes and less than 1,000 yards. BUT - there is always a but - they are both very good runners, combined they are over 500 total yards rushing and are the top two rushers on the team.

They also have the knock off version of Rondale Moore with, Wan’Dale Robinson, who is dynamic in his own right. Coach Frost uses Robsinson all over the field, he is their leading rusher in terms of being a Running Back or Wide Receiver, with 162 yards rushing.

He also leads the team in receiving. Have 30 catches for 227 yards, but not scoring any touchdowns.

Overall, their offense is ranked, 107th in the nation, scoring under 21 points per game - but they will score more than that against us.

Nebraska Defense:

The Nebraska Defense also leaves a lot to be desired, allowing 32 points per game, which is somehow more points per game than we allow. Nebraska ranks 97th in the nation in points.

They do have some nice pieces though, JoJo Doman is their leading tackler at OLB followed by Will Honas at Middle Linebacker. Their secondary though does appear to be a bit weak and should be exposed by our pass game.

Game Outlook:

As always, I see the run game as the vital point. If we rush for over 100 yards as a team and do not abandon the run - as always - we should be in good shape. King Doerue is starting to look like his 2019 form again and Zander Horvath will look to build off his best game of 2020 last week.

The defense HAS to improve and that starts with stopping the quarterback run this weekend. Both quarterbacks are mobile and can gain a lot of ground rushing the ball. They are their top 2 rushers.

This is a great game for the Boilers to get back on track and finish the season strong.
