Bucket Game Back On?

The conference announced championship week matchups

The Big Ten Conference is much like Whose Line Is It Anyway. Everything’s made up and the points don’t matter. Despite the 6 game minimum to play in the championship game that was changed to allow Ohio State into the conference title game. Now, despite the fact that championship week games were supposed to match up teams from equal places in their respective divisions it seems that has all been thrown out the window as well. The conference tweeted this afternoon that the matchups for next week have been finalized.

As you can see Purdue is slated to take on IU on Friday at 7:30 PM. Will this game happen? Who knows. The game that was set for yesterday between the two teams was cancelled and was done so mutually. Both teams had some type of Covid outbreak though no great details were released. So, is it possible that both teams were in fact waiting on positive results that came back negative and the game can be played? Will the game be played with 25 players on each side with players pulling double duty? Who knows! GK should in theory be back for this game as his 21 quarantine would be over by this point but will the game even happen?

We honestly have so few details about what each team is going through with Covid right now that to believe this game will happen seems a pipe dream at best. Until we get more information from both teams I’m not holding my breath. Stay tuned to this site for further details as we get them.
