The NCAA loves to talk about going pro in something other than sports. With a ton of Anthrops at Purdue that is incredibly true. Former Purdue receiver Danny Anthrop had a brief stint with the Colts, but has since hung up his cleats for a badge as a Lafayette police officer. He has served in this capacity since 2017 and was recently awarded with the LPD’s life saving award:
Former Central Catholic and #Purdue standout Danny Anthrop has received the "Life Saving Award" from the Lafayette Police Department.

The award recognizes life saving action in the line of duty.

The tweet does not say which specific action Danny performed in the line of duty, but the Anthrop family is basically a Lafayette institution at this point and I love seeing that he was able to give back to his community in this way. He has also been around to watch his brother Jackson continue his own career at Purdue.
Thank you very much for everything you do, Danny. We appreciated watching you on the field and value you as part of our community.
