Rutgers 37, Purdue 30: In Tweets

The most disappointing loss of the Brohm era.

NCAA Football: Rutgers at Purdue Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

This was supposed to be a turning point game. Even as far away as two years ago we were looking at the 2020 visit by Rutgers as the “Well, of course we’ll put that game away as a home Big Ten game.”

It was a turning point, alright. It was the game where most of the fanbase turned against Jeff Brohm. It was a deplorable effort where Purdue was outplayed and outcoached in nearly every phase of the game from the moment where David Bell caught the TD pass from Jack Plummer that put us ahead 30-20.

Jeff Brohm will be around for some time because of his contract. We have no choice otherwise, and we’re not even in the “We’re Notre Dame and can afford to buy our way out of Charlie Weis’ contract,” position. He is going to be around a while, so it is his job to fix this.

Let’s get to the Tweets.
