This was supposed to be a turning point game. Even as far away as two years ago we were looking at the 2020 visit by Rutgers as the “Well, of course we’ll put that game away as a home Big Ten game.”
It was a turning point, alright. It was the game where most of the fanbase turned against Jeff Brohm. It was a deplorable effort where Purdue was outplayed and outcoached in nearly every phase of the game from the moment where David Bell caught the TD pass from Jack Plummer that put us ahead 30-20.
Jeff Brohm will be around for some time because of his contract. We have no choice otherwise, and we’re not even in the “We’re Notre Dame and can afford to buy our way out of Charlie Weis’ contract,” position. He is going to be around a while, so it is his job to fix this.
Let’s get to the Tweets.

Plummer to Durham for 1 yard.

No flags
Not a defender in sight. Clearly Payne obliterated someone. Easy call but the refs missed it.
— Steven Harmon (@StevenJHarmon) November 28, 2020
Well the defense did get off the field on 3rd down.
— mike didonna (@DidonnaMike) November 28, 2020
Not to mention he literally still had the ball in his hand

This drive?! When does Holt come back? This is pathetic! This much talent and we get this type of performance. Holt would have a great time with this crew.
— Donald Barkley (@dbarkley84) November 28, 2020
Purdue’s defense is very talented and very bad, so class, what conclusions can we draw from that?
— michael (@therailroadtie) November 28, 2020
Are we sure they didn’t sack him too hard? Or celebrate too much?
— PU Boiling Points (@PUBoilingPoints) November 28, 2020
To quote Brohm, “how is that NOT [redacted] pass interference????”
— Mad Mushroom Purdue (@MadMushPurdue) November 28, 2020
That was...just an awful play from about five Purdue defenders there.

Week after week Travis. You and the HR staff’s honest look was dead on. This team isn’t getting any better. I actually think this team is getting worse and worse. Sorry. I’m going to stop now. Saw the “T” word earlier - don’t want to get accused of it. Won’t be watching.
— Murph6000 (@murph6000) November 29, 2020
Worst thing about the ejection is there was no call on the field. That was the replay ref actually inserting himself into the game to call that penalty. That's just the opposite of how this is supposed to work.

Someone tell Bob Diaco they are gonna run the damn ball.
— Riles23 (@Riles23) November 29, 2020
After the last two weeks and from what I’ve heard...Diaco may rival Shoop in terms of bad hires for coordinators at Purdue.
— Jed Wilkinson (@PurdueWilkie) November 29, 2020
Serious question: WHY DID PURDUE ABANDON THE RUN? Like really, what the hell?
— Kyle Charters (@KyleCharters79) November 29, 2020
I love Purdue Twitter we just all understand each other
— BoilerUppppppp (@BoilerUppppppp) November 29, 2020
It's almost like they had a qb who was only good at the wildcat and we should've known exactly what they were going to do every single play...
— Hail, hail to (@old_Purdue) November 29, 2020
HAIL PURDUE!
Jeff Brohm sure does lose a lot of games he has no business losing. I don’t know where this program is going.
— Beneath The Paint (@BeneathThePaint) November 29, 2020
Losing at home to Rutgers and only scoring 7 in the second half is...awful. If you can’t beat Rutgers at home when spotted a ten point lead at halftime, you’re nowhere as a program.
— J Money (@JL_Voice) November 29, 2020
I am that #Purdue fan that y’all roll your eyes at. I’m the guy who is glass 3/4 full at all times when it comes to the Boilermakers. Everything positive. Right now, however, I’m livid.
— Ben Kolodzinski (@brkolo) November 29, 2020
Brohm needs to cowboy the F up.
PUT UP OR SHUT UP.
I am embarrassed by your performance.
Can Coach Tiller coach from above?
