This is one of those.....
“How the hell did he play at all after that hit” injuries.
More from @WerderEdESPN: Drew Brees is suffering from three fractured ribs on his left side and two on the right, possibly more. Doctors have cautioned Brees to be especially careful with the damage to his lung. https://t.co/6Ps1pPOfek

Beloved Boiler and Saint, Drew Brees has 5 fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.
I mean Jesus.
Did you see the hit? I did and thought, man a 41 year old Quarterback can’t take those licks.
Here is the hit.
The fractures from Bucs game help explain why Drew Brees said it was likely "cumulative."

Really only two big hits by Bucs I spotted, but obvious injury potential in both.
1: 2:18 left Q2, William Gholston on delayed stunt
2: 11:58 left Q3; Shaq Barret flies around edge#Saints https://t.co/2PQRV7R4kq pic.twitter.com/MBaNImkR1I
A flag was thrown on the play - which I didn’t agree with. But, this has to be the play that got him hurt.
There isn’t much you can do for these injuries other than rest and just heal up. My guess, is they target the playoffs for him to get back.
In a year in which it looked like he was going to make a mid to late season run at the MVP, this stinks, his snaps are limited as he is close to retirement.
In comes former #1 pick, Jameis Winston and Gadget Player Taysom Hill to play quarterback.
Heal up, Drew, we all want one more Super Bowl for him.
