Purdue currently has 0 positive tests in athletics when it comes to athletes and staff members.
With the season just under 3 weeks away, the importance of low cases is at a premium. With 0 this past week shows that Purdue Student Athletes are doing their jobs, wearing masks and social distancing when they get an opportunity to distance.
Also according to Protect Purdue, it appears that there is 122 active cases currently and have a 2.31% positivity rate over the last 7 days.
Here is a good thread of College Related Covid Illnesses as well. Since Colleges have started testing, it appears we have had over 70,000 positive tests, with 3 hospitalizations and zero deaths.
1/ Campus C19 update, 10/5/20: Despite ~70K C19+ tests at 50 major universities, barely any reported hospitalizations (i.e., 3), & no deaths. (Tabulated below, with explanation, & more refs following tweet thread) pic.twitter.com/aXrycwtFtk
