No Moore Problems? Boilers are 2-0!

It wasn’t pretty, but...

NCAA Football: Maryland at Purdue Thomas J. Russo-USA TODAY Sports

The Boilers won, 31 to 24.

At one point, they were leading 31 to 10, but after some, uh.

Questionable game management decisions.

It was all of the sudden 31 to 24.

The defense made a stop late, we ran the ball, then passed (again questionable) instead of forcing them to burn their final timeout, we threw an incomplete pass.

But, David Bell bailed us out with a beautiful one handed catch to move the sticks and seal the deal.

Again, the 4th quarter management was questionable, but in the end, we won and that is what matters.

Lead by Aidan O’Connell, David Bell and Zander Horvath, who early on have become a three headed monster, Purdue made plays when asked.

Zander, even while fumbling twice (one wasn’t a fumble) had 22 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown, marking 3 straight 100 yard games for him.

AOC was darn near perfect. Going 29 of 35 for 376 yards and 2 touchdowns. David Bell did his normal things, have 9 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown, but Milton Wright was not far off with 6 catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.

David Bell made his 100th career catch today and his 5th 100 yard game as well.

Just as last week, DaMarcus Mitchell, the Juco plug and play DE/OLB had 11 tackles including a sack.

The defense forced three turnovers as well.

While it wasn’t pretty it was a win. Now, we learn by Tuesday if we will play Wisconsin or not.
