Since leaving Purdue, Dru has held a multitude of positions within different organizations. He was a basketball film coordinating intern with the Indiana Pacers while the aforementioned Vogel was their coach from 2013-15. He then started his graduate assistant path at St. John’s under Chris Mullin for one season before getting a position of special assistant to the head coach and assistant video coordinator with the Orlando Magic. After spending two years at that position, he was hired by the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2018-19 season before going to Los Angeles to reunite with Frank Vogel once again and join the Lakers.
He has had the opportunity to be around some of the best in the business at the highest level of professional basketball and is now reaping the benefits. Dru is on a great path to one day being at the helm of either a college or NBA basketball team in the future. The Boilers are doing amazing things after leaving West Lafayette. The Purdue family is proud of you Dru! Congratulations and keep up the good work!
