This is going to be a tough one. Penn State is coming off of a 59-0 beatdown at Maryland and Purdue’s defense just let Minnesota’s quarterback have a career day throwing the ball. The Purdue defense has a lot of questions' and we haven’t even addressed the injury issue with so many offensive players out. Purdue is going to have to find a way to slow down a dynamic, versatile offense and score on a defense that is really, really good.
Perhaps the best hope is that Pittsburgh only lost 17-10 a few weeks ago and then the Panthers barely got past Delaware this past weekend. Other than that, Penn State has throttled Idaho, Buffalo, and Maryland by a combined score of 183-20. It is clearly a tall order for Purdue, and Jack Plummer will very likely be making his first road start in a 100,000+ seat stadium where Purdue has only won once.
