Of course it happened against Minnesota. On the very same play where Elijah Sindelar had to leave the game with a shoulder injury Rondale Moore planted wrong and hyper-extended his knee, falling to the turf in the dreaded non-contact injury. We caught a break, however, per Adam Rittenberg of ESPN:
Awaiting #Purdue injury updates later this morning from Jeff Brohm. Source told me early indications on Rondale Moore is that his injury isn't too serious (hamstring, not knee). Brohm said Saturday that QB Elijah Sindelar's injury "doesn't look good."

I am sure coach Brohm will have more in his press conference in a moment about Rondale, but I am betting he is limited at best against Penn State this weekend. If we can get him back healthy against Maryland that helps us more int he long run, as the key to a bowl game is beating Maryland, Nebraska, Illinois, Northwestern, and Indiana.
The move also likely burns the redshirt for freshman TJ Sheffield. Shefflied played a few snaps against Nevada, but played extensively yesterday with two catches and returning two punts. Sheffield is good and has a lot of promise, but he is no Rondale. He still has two games to play before needing a redshirt decision, and Jackson Anthrop will also get more run.
