Welcome to the game, son.

While Elijah Sindelar has set the college football world on fire so far by leading hte nation in passing yard through two games, he suffered a concussion (I am not going to use the vernacular of “slight”) against Vanderbilt and has been questionable all week. Questionable has given way to “out”, meaning Jack Plummer will get his first career start vs. TCU at Ross-Ade Stadium tonight.

Plummer is a redshirt freshman who is not only getting hte first start of his career, it is the first action of his career. In the event he goes down walk-on Aiden O’Connell is next in line instead of Nick Sipe, who is the only other quarterback on the roster with game experience (one completed pass in his career).

Obviously this is a setback, especially with no running game, but we will endure. We’re due some backup starting luck in our favor after backups have run wild on us in recent years.
