After today we’ll be into single digits as kickoff is now only a week and a half away.

Amad Anderson Jr. - Fr. (RS)

Staten Island, NY (Curtis HS)

5’11”, 175 pounds

Wide Receiver

2019 Projection: Contributor at Wide Receiver

It feels like with Rondale Moore every other receiver on the Purdue roster has been a bit forgotten, especially Anderson. He redshirted last year and we have a highly touted group of true freshmen this year. That doesn’t mean Anderson is not talented. He had a great fall camp and has emerged as a real option this year.

In high school Anderson was part of the New York Public Schools League City champions. He averaged almost 29 yards per catch with multiple big games. Purdue was able to recruit him away from Rutgers and this season he should have a strong debut.

Cam Allen - Fr.

Bluefield, VA (Graham HS)

6’1”, 190 pounds

Cornerback

2019 Projection: Contributor at cornerback

Allen is one of several freshmen that has come in and impressed right away. Dedrick Mackey and Kenneth Major appear to have the top cornerback roles, but Allen has done well as a top projected reserve. He was a 3-star commitment last season and part of a team that went 14-1 with a state championship in his native Virginia.

Allen is a sharp player, as he also played quarterback and accounted for 61 total touchdowns. This kid is just a pure athlete, and that is an easy way to find the field as a true freshman.
