Today’s player made some waves over the summer with Rondale Moore-like workout numbers.

Alfred Armour - Fr. (RS)

Indianapolis, IN (Warren Central HS)

6’1”, 235 pounds

Running Back

2019 Projection: Possible contributor at running back

Armour comes from the football powerhouse of Warren Central in Indianapolis. In 2016, his junior high school season, he rushed for 301 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 11 passes for 233 yards and 3 TDs in his career. he also played defense, notching 142 tackles and 14 sacks. In his junior season he helped Warren Central win the always tough MIC with a spotless 7-0 record, but the were upset by Center Grove 28-7 in the regional. This was after Warren opened the season with a win over Center Grove, and they had a 40-30 win over eventual state champion Carmel.

Armour made some noise this year by having a solid day in the spring game. He then went viral with a 600 pound squat:

This is the same squad that Moore made last season before shredding the entire Big Ten. Obviously Armour is not expected to match that (though it would be nice), but he could get some carries in a backfield that needs players to emerge. The top two options have battled injuries, so Armour, as a walk-on, might emerge as a great option. He clearly has the strength to do so, as well.
