Jaylen Stinson, a 5’8, 160 pound, 3* (86) WR/CB from Opelelika, AL verbally committed to Purdue today.

Stinson committed to Purdue over 11 other offers, including offers from Louisville, Nebraska and Duke.
I’m hearing that Purdue is recruiting Stinson as a corner back. I assumed Purdue would sign two corners in this class, but I assumed the second corner would be of the taller, outside corner variety. Stinson has blazing speed (he has a laser timed 4.35 40) and will play inside and line up against smaller, quicker slot receivers.
I thought Marcellus Moore and Jaylen Stinson would be an either/or proposition, but I assumed Stinson would play wide receiver and not corner. Purdue has added some serious speed to the 2020 class, and the idea of Moore and Stinson returning kicks for Purdue should terrify Big 10 special team coaches.
Another big pick up for Anthony Poindexter. Coach Poindexter has been on a serious heater over the last few months and is proving to be an elite recruiter for the Boilermakers.
