The Lithuanians did not want that smoke. They got a rematch with the United States in the FIBA U-19 World Cup Semifinals and the USA handed out a beatdown. The Americans moved on to the Gold Medal game tomorrow at 12:30 ET with a 102-67 laugher.
I apologize for having no highlights, but for some reason YouTubr is saying it cannot be replayed in the United States. As for Trevion Williams, he had a much better outing against the Lithuanians this time. He finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds in a little over 16 mintues of action off the bench.
In tomorrow’s championship the USA will play surprise finalist Mali, who was a shock 76-73 winner over France in the other semifinal. Mali was 2-1 in Group B, beating Latvia 93-79 and Canada 71-70, but losing to Australia 82-79. In the round of 16 they beat the USA’s opening opponent New Zealand 77-62. In the quarterfinals they knocked off Puerto Rico 84-74 after the Puerto Ricans (0-3 in the group stage) stunned Argentina in the round fo 16.
Tomorrow’s game can be watched live on YouTube at 12:30pm.
