Three games, three wins for Trevion Williams and Team USA at the 2019 FIBA U-19 World Cup. Today the Americans put on a defensive clinic in stifling Senegal in an 87-58 win. Tre even led the team with an efficiency number of +17 as he finished with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and two assists.
The win clinched first place in Group A for the Americans, who will now play Latvia at 6:15am ET on Wednesday. Latvia went 0-3 in Group B, losing to Canada, Australia, and Mali, so the Americans will be heavily favored. Team USA will have another day off on Thursday before playing the winner between Russia and China on Friday in the quarterfinals (assuming we beat Latvia).
So far Trevion is averaging 8.7 points per game in three games and he playing about 14 minutes per game. He was limited due to foul trouble in game 2, but he has been in double figures in the other two games.
