Making it to the field as a true freshman in football is impressive. That’s what today’s player did last year.

Defensive Line

2019 Projection: Contributor at Defensive End

Here at Hammer & Rails we got on the defensive line a lot last season because it did not generate much of a pass rush. It is a developing unit, however, and should be significantly better in 2019. Marks should play a role in that. He did not make a start last season, but he played in all 13 games and notched three tackles. They came against Eastern Michigan, Boston College, and Illinois.

Marks is a versatile lineman, and that is his way to the field. He can play both end and tackle, thus providing valuable depth at both spots. He had seven sacks as a senior in high school and has a lot of promise for the future.
