FIBA U-19 World Cup: Team USA Schedule

For the third straight time a Purdue player is taking part in the U-19 World Cup

NCAA Basketball: Belmont at Purdue Sandra Dukes-USA TODAY Sports

Trevion Williams is off to Greece! This year’s FIBA U-19 World Cup tips off this Saturday and will run through July 7. That’s seven games for Tre over in Greece as part of Team USA, and hopefully he brings home a gold medal. Two years ago Carsen Edwards won bronze after RJ Barrett and Canada knocked off the U.S. in the semifinals. Four years ago Caleb Swanigan won gold with Team USA.

Here is the full schedule for Team USA:

Group A

Game 1: USA vs New Zealand, Sat, 6/29, 1pm EDT

Game 2: Lithuania vs USA, Sun, 6/30, 10:45am EDT

Game 3: Senegal vs USA, Tues, 7/2, 9:00am EDT

FIBA will be broadcasting all the games through its YouTube Channel as well.

The round of 16 games get underway on Wednesday, July 4. The quarterfinals will be two days later on the 5th, with the semifinals on the 6th and the final on the 7th. There are classification brackets as well for 5-8th place and 9-16th place. That means team USA will have seven games regardless.

Streaming the games: They will probably be streamed on FIBA’s YouTube page. The only catch is you may need a VPN to watch it live in the US. I use PIA for a VPN and I’ll make it look like I’m in Greece, or some other country. Hammer & Rails posted links back in 2017 w/ Carsen. They may also be on ESPN+, ESPN3, or the other major ESPN channels. If you can’t watch it live, you can probably watch the replays on FIBA’s YouTube page.
