70 Days to Purdue Football: Will Bramel

We closeout the week with a promising freshman coming out of redshirt.

Let’s finish the week strong as we look at another offensive lineman, this one coming out of his redshirt year.

Will Bramel - Fr. (RS)

Danville, KY (Boyle County HS)

6’6”, 290 pounds

Offensive Line

As we have said for pretty much every freshman coming out of redshirt so far, we need interior linemen. Bramel could fill that role this year. Right now he projects mostly as a guard, which is good. We need guards with both tackle spots nailed down.

In high school Bramel was part of a team hat went 14-1 and won Kentucky’s 3A state championship his senior year. While he played on the line for a very potent offense, he did occasionally line up as an eligible receiver. He even caught a TD pass in a game.

We need Bramel to be what he can be: a large human being that excels at knocking other large human beings over or moving them out of the way to open holes for the offense.
