There are glaring holes on the offensive line, but Spencer will need a year in the college weight room and a full year of practice before he cracks the rotation for our Boilermakers.
Spencer mostly had MAC school offers - Ball State, Miami (OH), Bowling Green and Central Michigan. Purdue was his only P5 offer, so it was an easy commit for him.
He is a pretty good athlete for an offensive lineman, which is generally the case with most Brohm recruited Offensive Lineman, get athletes that have nice frames and turn them into solid lineman in two or three seasons.
Spencer will have time to learn and grow before having to play.
