There is no question that Purdue needs other linemen to step up this year. Today’s player might be one of them.

2019 Projection: Possible starter at Guard

We really need someone to step up as a starter at guard and Washington could be the guy. So far he has just a single game of experience. He appeared as a reserve in the blowout at Minnesota last year. He does bring good size to the position, however.

In high school he was an honorable mention all-state selection at Louisville’s Ballard HS. They reached the state finals until his team fell to Louisville Trinity and Rondale Moore. Being from Louisville, the Brohm family has had an eye on him for some time.

Most likely Washington projects as a guard this year, and he’ll probably have every chance to earn a starting role since both guard spots are up for grabs.
