95 Days to Purdue Football: Jack Cravaack

The promising defensive end is coming off of a redshirt year.

With Isaac Haas and Matt Haarms, Purdue has had a lot of success with athletes that have a double-A in their last names. Can today’s player match them?

Defensive End

2019 Projection: Reserve at Defensive End.

Cravaack is listed as a defensive end, but he did much of his time in high school as a tight end. He was also an accomplished basketball player, where he scored over 1,200 points and had more than 600 rebounds as a long-time fixture at Madeira HS in Cincinnati.

In football all I could find offensively was 2 catches for 69 yards and a touchdown as a senior, but just one game was recorded. This coming season there is a need for depth at defensive end, so Cravaack should at least get a look. He was rated as a 3-star prospect in the 2018 class.
