The Redshirt Frosh is ready to add depth to the Purdue Defensive Line

NCAA Football: Purdue at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Player: Jack Sullivan

Class: RS Frosh

Size: 6’5”, 265 Pounds

Position: Defensive End or 3-Technique

2018 Results: Redshirt

2019 Projection: Depth on the defensive line

Jack was part of the 2018 class, being ranked as a 3* by Rivals. Purdue was Jack’s lone Big Ten offer, but he has the size to play in the B1G. He definitely has the frame, since he came to campus last summer, Jack has put on 25 pounds of weight. Giving him the ability to now slide inside if need be.

Sullivan is a guy who can definitely play himself into the rotation on the defensive line. He is a part of the defensive line overturn. When Coach Brohm came in the defensive line was in pieces, since then, he has added some nice recruits and players that have an extremely high ceiling and a low floor.

He wants production out of his front as Coach Holt likes to do stunts with his DL and LBs quite often. They have to be mobile and athletic.

Jack was part of the 5 man 2018 defensive line class, where I believe 4 of the 5 RS their first year on campus. Coach Brohm will need production from these 5 guys as they continue to get older. But, the 2019 class will push these young men for playing time as well.

Jack will continue to get stronger as he stays at Purdue and will be ready to be in the rotation when called upon.
