Name: David Blough
Position: Quarterback
Height/Weight/Age: 6’1”, 215 Pounds, 23 Years Old
Career Stats: 9,734 Yards, 61% Completion %, 69 Touchdowns, 43 Interceptions, 128.1 QB Rating
Prediction: Will David Blough keep the streak alive? It is possible. I have Blough possibly being drafted on Day 3 (around rounds 5-7) to possibly an undrafted free agent. I think a team will take a flyer on him late, based on his outstanding senior season.
Last season, he threw for 3,750 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Early in his career he had accuracy issues, but a lot of that was connected last season after being coached up by Jeff Brohm. Having Coach Brohm as his HC will carry some weight as well, as he is respected throughout the NFL as a great football mind.
David is listed at 6’1” and is right around that measurement. I think he had pretty solid arm strength in the college game, but that is not a great indicator to if it will transfer to the NFL. I do believe his accuracy will though, he was pretty good at throwing his wide receivers open last season, in comparison to what his previous years were.
David might be our best bet to continue our draft streak. Best of luck to David, his new wife and the rest of his family on this stressful but exciting week.
