As you know, the Boilers won the 2009 Big Ten Tournament and were runner-up in 1998, 2016, and 2018.
Purdue has an all-time record of only 14-20 in the event. Michigan State and Ohio State have each won the event five times while Wisconsin and Michigan have won it three times. Illinois and Iowa have won twice each and Purdue is the only other team to win it with the one win. Michigan is going for an unprecedented three straight.
The only teams to not even reach the finals yet are Rutgers, Maryland, Northwestern, and Nebraska. Purdue is the No. 2 seed and the No. 2 seed has won the event seven times. The Boilers will play their first game in the tournament Friday evening at 6pm.
