Name: Greg Hudgins
Hometown: Washington DC - St. Johns College High School
Position & Size: Defensive End - 6-4, 230 Pounds
Rating: 4*
Offers: Vandy, Boston College, Maryland, IU, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Nebraska
Thoughts:
Two years in a row Coach Brohm has been able to lock down an impact defensive end.
Last year was George Karlaftis, this year is Greg Hudgins.
I think it is unfair to expect Greg to come in and do what George has done - a freshmen All-American from many media sources. But I think it is fair to believe he will come in and have an impact pretty early on in his career.
At 230 pounds, he will probably need another 15 to 20 pounds to be able to sustain a big ten schedule at defensive end, but that definitely isn’t impossible.
Hudgins wreaked havoc off the edge in high school. Regularly disrupting the quarterback. Expect a lot of the same during his career at Purdue. Some recruiting sites have him as a 4*, some have him as 3*.
Either way, just know he will be a disruptive force for the gold and black, sooner rather than later.
