Thoughts:
Murphy is probably our most decorated recruit for this 2020 class. He has offers from just about everyone, from coast to coast.
He isn’t just a power back. He isn’t just a speed back.
He is both.
Murphy is the highest rated running back recruit we have had during the Brohm era. He will have a legit chance of coming in and playing early on during his career. He has a college ready body already at 6’, 220 pounds, bigger than both of our backs from last year’s recruiting class. He also runs a freaking 4.5 FORTY!
The running back position is starting to gain some depth, King Doerue, Zander Horvath, Da’Joun Hewitt, Alfred Armour & now Tirek Murphy - who I see as the best already.
He will have to eqrn his playing time like any other incoming frosh, but there is a real chance he may get the bulk of the carries this season and seasons to come.
Coach Barclay was the lead recruiter on this one, and they have built a great relationships it appears.
Great In-Home Visit With My Coach/Mentor... @CoachCBarclay
