Name: Michael Alaimo
Hometown: Montvale, New Jersey - St. Joseph Regional High School
Position & Size: Quarterback, 6-4, 220 Pounds
Rating (247): 4* (91)
Offers: Cal, Boston College, Michigan State
Thoughts:
One of the longest standing commits of the 2020 Class, Alaimo gave Purdue his verbal back in June.
A 4* from the east coast is never easy to get, but when Jeff Brohm and Brian Brohm are coming after you to play quarterback, you have to listen. Brian Brohm was his primary recruiter
Alaimo has everything you are looking for in a quarterback - accuracy, arm strength, mobility, accuracy on the run and a high football I.Q.
Alaimo will be the highest rated quarterback commit that Purdue has had under the Brohm era. But, this is not a plug and play, he would have to come in and beat out Jack Plummer, Aidan O’Connell and Paul Piferi (Possibly a transfer as well).
Coach Brohm has openly said he wants a quarterback every class to create competition at the position.
The bar has been raised by adding the 12th best quarterback in the 2020 class according to 257sports.com.
Welcome to Purdue, Mike. Boiler Up!
