For the second week in a row, there is no official depth chart being released for Purdue. The Boilers are really up against it now with injuries, and that just has every position up for grabs.
We do know, however, that Aidan O’Connell will get his first career start on Saturday at Northwestern, as Jack Plummer is out with a broken ankle:
Brohm on Plummer: Probably be out for the year. On way to doctor now to see if he will require surgery on a broken ankle.

Also, Paul Piferi is now the No. 2 quarterback, with walk-on Danny Carollo, who has served as the specialty punter and as the holder on placekicks, is the No. 3 QB. As far as getting Elijah Sindelar back, that seems unlikely:
Brohm: Not optimistic on Sindelar coming back this year.

That means Purdue is down o two walk-ons and a true freshman that has yet to play in a game. No problem at all!
Also, as far as not optimistic, it doesn’t look like Rondale Moore is coming through that door soon, either:
Brohm on Rondale: We will see how that goes. Not optimistic until we see what we need to see. Not optimistic about this week.

Purdue’s best case scenario at the moment is that it gets out of Evanston with a win, then hopes things get better for Sindelar and Moore during the bye week before Wisconsin. Otherwise, seeing a win over Wisconsin is extremely unlikely and beating a red hot Indiana team, even at home, is dicey. Although, beating Indiana in its best season in a quarter century with a walk-on playing quarterback and our All-American out sounds hilarious and I am here for it.
