Pardon me if I quiver in the corner having flashbacks of that random VCU point guard slicing through Purdue’s defense with ease and either scoring or kicking out for wide open threes. We only saw that earlier this year against Texas. Tonight Purdue faces an excellent VCU team in an early season game that is important. Purdue’s next three games are against top 25 teams, followed by two conference games. It is a critical stretch that will be a difficult test much like last year. If Purdue can get at least one of the non-conference games plus both Big Ten games against Nebraska and Northwestern it will be in great shape. Get two plus two, even better.
