At this point the award should really be the Purdue Freshman of the Week. Rondale Moore won Big Ten Freshman of the Week 4 times last year. This year King Doerue won it once, and now David Bell has his FOURTH Big Ten Freshman of the Week award for the 2019 season.

Bell had 12 receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown in Madison on Saturday. It is the fifth time that Bell has had more than 100 yards receiving in a game this year and the third time he has had 12 or more receptions. Bell is now at 77 receptions for 899 yards and 6 touchdowns.
He ranks 28th nationally in receiving yards and third in the Big Ten there. In receptions he leads the Big Ten and he is 8th nationally. Not only is Bell going to be the Freshman of the Year in the conference, he could potentially be first team all-Big Ten.
