Purdue has a handful of new freshmen to the program this season, but one of them is a walk-on from Columbus, Indiana.

Normally when a player commits to Purdue there is much fanfare and celebration. There is usually even a formal announcement when a new walk-on comes aboard. Friday came to Purdue in relative obscurity. There was no formal announcement, and I only found him when seeing the roster one day.
Frost comes from a large Purdue family. According to his player bio, he has 11 Purdue alums in his family and his older brother is also a student. At Columbus East last season he averaged 14.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals for a team that went 12-11 and lost to Bloomington South in the sectional. Columbus East was around .500 all four years while Frost was there, going 12-11, 13-11, 11-13, and 11-13.
Frost seems like a Grady Eifert type of player in the long run. He is going to work hard, do the little things, and be a solid practice player for years to come. If he emerges to something more, even better.
