Last year at the All-American game Purdue got Rondale Moore to commit. He only established a new school single-season record for all-purpose yards, scored 14 touchdowns, and became just the third true freshman EVER to be named a consensus All-American.
Now he has a running mate at receiver to help torture Big Ten secondaries. David Bell, the 4-star receiver from Warren Central, committed to Purdue today during the All-American game.
Bell is, quite simply, a stud. This past season he had 85 receptions for 1,542 yards and 22 touchdowns as Warren Central rolled to a 15-0 season and Class 6A state championship. For his career he had 4,467 yards and 55 TDs. It is the second most receiving yards in Indiana high school history.
Oh, and his is a winner in other sports, too. Last season in basketball helped Warren Central become only the 13th team in more than 100 years of Indiana basketball history to go undefeated. The Warriors officially went 32-0, which is the best record ever. In the semi-state he even hit the game winner against Romeo Langford and New Albany. He had 17 points in the game, and here is his game-winner:
Basically, this is a new toy for Jeff Brohm’s offense, and combined with Rondale we’re going to be tormenting some Big Ten defenses.
