Purdue Football Recruiting: Q & A With Ben Kreul

New, comments

I got a chance to ask Ben a few questions.

NCAA Football: Purdue at Minnesota Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

I got a chance to chat with, Ben Kreul our first commit for 2020. Ben is a mean, fill the gap, Inside Linebacker, who has an extremely high ceiling.

Ben reminds me of current Purdue Linebackers, Markus Bailey, as they both have the ability to run sideline to sideline and make plays.

Q: What made you choose Purdue over other universities?

A: I chose Purdue because of the relationships I was able to make with the staff, I was able to talk to them a lot and help build that up. The staff is also doing a great job and they’re only going to get better

Q: How did the recruiting process go for you since you made a decision so quick?

A: I enjoyed the process and everything about it, but it was time to end, I felt that Purdue was an amazing opportunity and something I didn’t want to miss out on

Q: What will you bring to the linebacker core at Purdue in 2020?

A: I want to bring physicality and leadership, I want to be a player that people can lookup to and get advice from

Q: What players did you get to know on your visit to Purdue?

A: I had lunch with Brooks Cormier and that was nice to see his perspective as a then commit on why he chose Purdue and some of the things that drew him in

Q: What do you want to let Boiler Nation know?

A: I want them to know that I’m excited to be a part of the family and that I want to be a part of something special here at Purdue!

I want to thank Ben for giving me a few minutes of his time during this exciting moment. Best of luck to Ben this upcoming season, we are looking forward to adding another linebacker to Purdue!
