Boilermaker Big Dog of the Week

We’ve got an absolute unit this week

This weeks Boilermaker Big Dog of the week is Chunk.

PawSwap has this scouting report on the big man:

This 3 year old, 60 pound hunk of charm was an unclaimed stray. He was found to be heartworm positive. Lucky, for him it was in early stages and easily treated. He spent some time in a great foster home learning a lot of new commands and hand signals. He is now on top of his game and ready for a forever home. Chunk is super goofy, happy, and affectionate. He is laid-back and very well behaved in home. He is house trained and crate trained. He is great with children but would do best as an only pet in the home. Chunk is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm free, and microchipped.

Please complete an adoption application on our website at His adoption fee is $100.

Chunk is paired w/ former chunky Boilermaker and current Carolina Panther Kawann Short:

The big man from East Chicago came to Purdue in 2009 and made an immediate impact on the Boilermaker defensive line. As a 4 year starter for the Boilermakers, Short accumulated 186 tackles, 49 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers.

Short continues to dominate at the professional level, making the 2015 Pro Bowl and is considered one of the most disruptive defensive tackle in football. The Carolina Panthers rewarded his hard word by signing him to a massive 5 year, 80 million dollar contract extension in 2017.

Here are some nice NFL Kawann highlights for your enjoyment:
