56 Days to Purdue Football: Viktor Beach

The Death Star sized lineman is in his first year out of redshirt.

NCAA Football: Foster Farms Bowl-Arizona vs Purdue Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Today we have another lineman who is coming out of his redshirt year already looking to make an impact.

Viktor Beach - Fr. (RS)

Fort Myers, FL (Bishop Verot HS)

6’4”, 305 pounds

Offensive Line

2018 Projection: Reserve on the Offensive Line

I don’t think Beach is quite ready to start, but he had a promising spring and is likely in line for a solid role as a reserve. Purdue seems to have its five starting spots set, but developing that quality depth both now and for future seasons is huge.

Beach was a Class 4A all-state lineman in Florida and has the size to be an excellent guard or center in Brohm’s offense. With Kirk Barron having the center spot locked down this year he has an excellent chance to grow into the role. Barron will be gone after this season, making it the right time for Beach to step into is next season.
