30 Days to Purdue Football: Tobias Larry

The sophomore will definitely contribute in 2018

NCAA Football: Foster Farms Bowl-Arizona vs Purdue Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Purdue’s needs at linebacker are well known, so much so that it will be relying on a trio of sophomores to provide depth. Today we feature the third of those three.

Tobias Larry - So.

Lakeland, FL (Kathleen HS)

6’1”, 220 pounds

Linebacker

2018 Projection: Contributor at linebacker

Larry avoided a redshirt last year, playing mostly on special teams as Purdue tried to get its three freshmen ready. He saw action in 10 games and had his only tackle in the 35-3 win at Missouri. at 6’1” 220 pounds he hopefully had a good summer in the weight room, because he will be needed this year.

In high school he was a 2-year starter, an all-County selection, and he ran the 400 and 800 in track. With only Markus Bailey having significant experience at linebacker, Larry knows he has an opportunity for playing time. If he can be ready for this year it will greatly helpt he defense.
