Purdue Football Draft: Pick 32

T-Mill continue to build his offensive line with a promising freshman.

Offensive linemen coming out of a redshirt year are always a high risk, high reward scenario. They have spent the last year essentially transforming their body by adding weight and muscle in order to compete, but if they can play right away, they are going to be a four year contributor. That is what I am counting on with my pick today.

Mark Stickford - OT

So far I have a pretty good offensive line. I have our starting left tackle in Grant Hermanns and a pair of versatile players that can play multiple spots on the line in Shane Evans and Eric Swingler. Tackle can be a little tricky, so I am going to pick up Stickford, who could play this year some at right tackle.

Stickford has a great chance to grow into a solid tackle. He is at 6’5”, 285 pounds and he comes from Carmel, who has one of the best programs in the state. He was a first team all-state selection when Carmel one the state championship his senior year. Since he is coming out of redshirt this year he is one of our most promising linemen.
