We are now only 85 days way from Purdue Football, that brings on our first Kicker preview, J.D. Dellinger.

2018 Projection: Co-Starting Kicker
Last season was a great year for special teams. Both Spencer Evans and J.D. Dellinger were solid int he kicking game. Dellinger will be in a role where he will be a co-starter again with the Evans, they essentially split time evenly.
J.D. has had a pretty good Purdue career so far. This past season he was 9 of 13 on field goals with a long of 40. He is better as an inside the 40 kicker and Evans kicks the bombs. He was also 19 for 19 on PATs this past season. His freshman year, he was 10 of 14 on field goals and 35 of 36 on PATS. So, he is pretty solid, actually much better than most college kickers.
I will be honest, I thought J.D. was a senior this coming season, but he will be going on his 3rd year of starting, so it just seems like he has been around for quite some time. Best of luck this upcoming season, J.D.!
