Purdue Football Recruiting: Nyles Beverly Commits

Purdue adds a top priority target to the secondary

NCAA Football: NCAA Football: Purdue at Iowa The Des Moines Register-USA TODAY Sports

The wave of recruiting success continues as Purdue grabbed another big get tonight. Nyles Beverly, a 6’, 185-pound corner from Nordonia HS in Ohio is now on board. He is a mid to high 3-star commitment per both Rivals and 247, with offers from Michigan, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt (among others). Purdue continues to bring in Ohio talent. This is the 4th commitment from Ohio in the 2019 class, and there are several other Ohio players on the Boilermaker radar.

As always, we have highlights:

He seems to fit the mold that Brohm wants in his corners. He is big with long arms and can be a disruptive force on the outside. He is the 15th commitment in the rapidly growing 2019 class, and the first corner. Purdue is breaking in a pair of new starters this season at corner, so if they don’t work out he could play immediately. He will be physically ready to compete from day 1.

This commitment also moves Purdue’s class into the top 25 nationally, something that has not happened in more than a decade. What Brohm has done with this program in roughly 18 months continues to amaze me. He had success last year with talent in the 70s recruiting wise. What is he going to do with talent in the 20s?
