Purdue Football Recruiting: Crishawn Long Commits

A LINEBACKER YES.

NCAA Football: Michigan at Purdue Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Purdue needs 2 or 3 linebackers in this recruiting class. With today’s commit, we got number two at the linebacker position, joining Chase Triplett.

Crishawn Long, out of Clevelan, Ohio, gave Coach Brohm a verbal today after a weekend long official visit. Long adds to the long list of players that decided to commit this weekend, bringing the class to 14 commits currently, good for the 26th best class in the nation.

On the defensive side of the ball, we are continuing to transform it with long, tall athletes. Crishawn is no exception. At 6’2”, 200 pounds, he has room to put weight on, but has a great frame for the linebacker position already.

247 sports ranks Long as a 3* Outside Linebacker. On film, he shows great speed and a knack at finding the ball. It appears he reads plays very well. Right now, he is a little thin, but like I previously said, he has room to put weight on and will.

Welcome to West Lafayette, Crishawn!
