Coach Brohm and his staff are currently on fire with this 2019 class. There are a ton of players on campus through this weekend on official visits, so this just may be the beginning of it all as well.
Spencer is currently ranked as a 2* on Rivals and a 3* on 247. I really do not care for stars and I am not a star chaser, but Spencer is for sure better than a 2*. At 6’5”, 275 Pounds, he just abuses high school defensive linemen.
At his high school, he plays left tackle, but sitting at 275 already, there is a chance he could put weight on his frame and slide inside or play right tackle. He seems to be a better run blocker right now than pass blocker, but that is easy to say when you are the biggest man on the field.
Spencer has some pretty good feet, on his video you can see on outside zone run plays, he takes that big outside step and works his way up, setting the wall perfectly for his back. Most importantly though, he continues to drive his feet until he buries that defender.
Spencer joins Cam Craig and Dave Monnot III as offensive line commits for 2019.
Spencer is a solid get for 2019. Welcome to Purdue. Boiler Up!
