We did not have a football countdown post today, but that doesn’t mean there is a dearth of football news. This afternoon the official Purdue Football Twitter account released the kickoff times for the first six games of the season.
First up is the season opener, which we have known for some time would be a night game since it was moved to Thursday, August 30th. We will kick the season off against Northwestern at 8pm ESPN.
The next week (September 8th)Purdue will host Eastern Michigan at Noon on BTN
On September 15th Purdue gets the prime time BTN game as Missouri comes to Ross-Ade Stadium for a 7:30pm kickoff.
The September 22nd game against Boston College will be the Morgan Burke Special at Noon on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2.
On September 29th we have our first road game of the season at Nebraska. It will kick off at 3:30pm or 4pm, depending on who picks it up for TV.
After a week off we will go to Illinois. once again, that will kick off at 3:30pm or 4pm, depending on who picks it up for TV.

This is a good start to the year. Don’t worry, we’re losing the Nebraska game because I am planning on making that my initial trip to Lincoln.
