Purdue Football Draft: Pick 24

I need a running back, so why not take the starter.

I feel like we have been scrambling to pick the guys that are at thin areas, but it is time to get one of the best overall players available.

Tario Fuller - RB

I think Markell Jones is the most talented back, Richie Worship is the most unstoppable, and D.J. Knox is the most shifty, but Fuller is the guy who started last season over all of them. Why is that? Well, I think he is the best all-around back. He is great at catching passes out of the backfield, blocks well, and he has deceptive speed. Last season he was off to a great start too with 142 yards and a score against Ohio and 90 yards and a score against Missouri before a foot injury ended his season.

Fuller has the look of a 1,000 yard feature back if given the chance. The thing is, his numbers may be limited because we have so many good options. Look at Markell, who had a 200 yard game in last season’s finale. We essentially have a four-headed monster in the backfield, and I like Fuller to lead them.
